After forty years working in film and television production around the globe — thirty of them in the Vietnam region — CREATV’s Managing Director Othello Khanh reflects on why now is the right moment to highlight Vietnam as a reliable and inspiring destination for international productions.

Today, CREATVAsia launches its 2026 campaign highlighting Vietnam as a safe, cost-efficient, and cinematic destination for international productions and filmmakers looking at filming in Vietnam. With strong legal frameworks, active government support for the creative industries, and a welcoming, highly capable local workforce, Vietnam represents a rare combination of reliability and discovery at a time when the global industry is in need of secure places to create content.

Safe. Cost-efficient. Cinematic. Welcome to Vietnam.

Because of our company’s commitment to protecting client confidentiality, we cannot share most behind-the-scenes images from the productions we have supported over the years.

Instead, I chose to experiment with AI-generated artwork to revisit the spirit of the Vietnam film locations and characters whose stories we have helped bring to life — from busy city streets to rice fields, rivers, and mountains across this beautiful country. The technology allows us to celebrate the cinematic possibilities of Vietnam while honoring the trust our partners place in us.

I hope you enjoy these visions of Vietnam — a country whose cinematic beauty exists not just in imagination, but in vibrant reality every day of the year — and I look forward to welcoming filmmakers and producers here very soon.

— Othello Khanh Managing Director, The CREATV Company
